The MOSAC and lunch with Mr.Cahn (two posts in one)

Yesterday, I went to a museum in Sacramento with Grammy and Grampy. It was called MOSAC. It was a  very hot day. While Grammy and Grampy checked in, I looked at the gift shop. They didn’t have many interesting things, and they were all overpriced. We got there just in time for a show at the planetarium. The show talked about the different planets in our solar system. Next, we checked out the space section of the museum. I launched a rocket using water and air pressure, and tested out a twin ion engine. (The TIE in TIE fighters is for twin ion engine because TIE fighters use them) Then, we moved on to making planes with straws and paper. Mine did not fly very well but Grampy’s did. I started making a sword out of straws but took it apart when I realized that I couldn’t take it with me. After that, we went downstairs to the bugs and animals exhibit and played some animal games. We saw a live millipede, a red tree frog, a lizard, and a big beetle. Then, we went to the climate change section where I played some climate change games and watched a few videos about how climate change has effected peoples life from all over the globe. Next, we went to the water area where I played some water games. One of them was water trivia. Grampy and I tied with 27 points and Grammy lost with only 20. Finally, we walked back to the car and drove back home.

Today, Grammy and I had lunch with Mr.Cahn. We drove from home at about 11:30 to pick him up. When we picked Mr.Cahn up, he gave me a present and said that it was for the national park boys. Then we drove to the restaurant. The restaurant was called River City Brewing. Mr.Cahn got a chicken sandwich, Grammy ordered the eggplant appetizer and iced tea, and I got pepperoni pizza. Grammy and Mr.Cahn talked, and I watched a woman's soccer team match on a tv in the restaurant. We soon finished eating and got back into the car. We dropped Mr.Cahn off and went to a store to shop for chicken breasts. Grammy also picked up some blueberries. On our way to the desk, I saw yogurt raisins and asked Grammy if we could get some. Instead, Grammy said that she knew a better place and took me to Winco. I picked out some Reeses Pieces, watermelon sour patch kids, and an assortment of wrapped candies. Grammy went to get coffee beans, powdered tea, and other things and we bought the groceries at the self checkout which we had a little trouble with since we both had never done it before. Finally, we got back into the car and drove back home.

  1. Love the account of your time with GG&G and Art. Your entry needs a bit of editing though to correct spelling and replace some words. We miss you. Acadian will be very jealous of the candy you got!
