Noodle and matcha tour

Image
On Kyusik and my 5th trip and the boys’ 4th trip to Japan, we tried to focus on having a bunch of ramen that we missed the last time. On the evening that we arrived, we walked from a hotel Kyusik had intentionally chosen near the Tokyo station to a ramen place known for making their noodles to order. We tried 3 different types, 3 with broth and 1 without and chose a large portion of noodles for each bowl, which we could barely finish. The next morning we were all up by 4:30 am so decided to go to the same sushi place at Toyosu Fish Market to get in line for 6 am sushi. Fortunately we got there a few minutes before it opened and barely waited. We were pleased to be seated in the same place as 2 years ago and had the same sushi chef. Afterwards we walked around Tsukiji Outer Market before heading back to the hotel to get our stuff before picking out bento boxes for the 2 hour Shinkansen or bullet train ride to Myoko, where we got picked up by the Lotte Arai resort bus for the 30 min ride...

The first day in Shibuya

So today we woke up, and Acadian had already woken up and had played video games for FOURTY FIVE MINUTES!!!!! So Mommy said I could have some video game time if I got all ready, and so I did but then Daddy took it away because I cleared my throat in a weird way and didn’t care to change. Daddy and I got into a big fight. Then we went to a Bonito place for breakfast, and we had to wait in the cold. I was coughing and so we went into a store and got me some cough drops, but the cough drops were really bitter. I ate one and we also bought a green tea and a milk tea from a vending machine. But when we looked at how long the line was, we realized that it curved around a flight of stairs, and we were barely moving so we went to a different restaurant called Saryo where we got some rice and sides and two tea parfaits. Then we explored the mall a bit, and Acadian wasted $18 on a tiny dog stuffy. Mommy also tried on some clothes but they didn’t look good. Then we shoppe...

A noice day

Today, we woke up and Daddy and Bryce started the morning with some “stress-relieving” arguing and yelling. After a car alarm went off because of a bomb I mean Daddy and Bryce yelling, we had to go to breakfast. For breakfast, we waited in line for a few years before going to a different place (we had a “navigator” with a name that starts and ends with an A) with matcha. I got this strawberry parfait with a bunch of other stuff and a stuffy doge. Then, we went to a place called “Akomeya” where we stood around for only about 2 millennia and ate lunch. After that, we went back to the hotel and I started writing this blog. It goes like this:                  Today, we woke up and Daddy and Bryce started the morning with some “stress-relieving” arguing and yelling. After turning on my headphones to noise canceling, we had to go to breakfast. For breakf...

Snowboarding lesson in Japan with Shannon but the snow wasn’t that good.

So, on the first day, we got up and went to the Japanese restaurant for the buffet breakfast. The breakfast was good, and I got to eat white bread. Then we all went on the gondola and then snowboarded all the way down again, but the snow wasn’t good. Then I had to go to my snowboard lesson. I was in level five, and I got  a private lesson because there was only one other snowboarder taking lessons and she was just learning how to snowboard, and the snow was kind of crusty today. My teacher was named Shannon. First, we had to choose lunch and I chose a pork rice bowl. Shannon chose a cheeseburger. Then we took the gondola up to the top and did lots of black runs. Shannon said I was good at turning and going fast. Then he started teaching me how to switch which means snowboarding with the foot you’re not used to forward. He started off by teaching me how to do a 360 on a small slope, and then we started doing them on steeper hills and off the sides of walls. At a...

So, on the first day, I go skiing with the ski instructor. I wake up and get ready to play video games, but we gotta go to breakfast! How lame is that?! So I think, well, I can play once I’m done with breakfast right? But Mommy and Daddy say that we gotta go skiing! So I can play video games after right? No! Throw that idea in the trash! I have lessons today! So I take my lesson and get back. Now I can get screen time. No! I have to go to the onsen! We stay there for a bit and guess what? It actually feels pretty relaxing. So now I can play. Dowwit! AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! I have to go to dinner! Ok, ok, ok, I am a bit angry. Time to cool down with some gaming. NO! I have to go to sleep!                                             Note to the reader: the writer finally got time af...
