Going to the flat

Today we woke up at seven. Mommy and Daddy went out to get breakfast, and we stayed at home. The breakfast was croissants, some savory egg muffins, passion fruit, and oranges. We then got our bags which we had packed the night before, and said goodbye to the flat. Then we got in the car and drove to the airport. Daddy drove to the Hertz car rental return outside the airport, and we walked to the airport. We then went through security, and walked to our gate. After a little bit of waiting, we got to get in line for the bus. We soon boarded the bus, and the bus drove us to the plane. We then boarded the plane. Our row was five. Since Acadian had been naughty the last few days, (he was waking up early in the morning to watch tv) he did not get his iPad on the plane. He made sure to sit next to me though, so he could watch what I was watching. After that, we got of the plane, and went though more security. We waited in a very long line, and finally, when we were in the front, the guy who was checking the passports went off to take a break, and he said that we had to go to the end of the other line. We were confused because both lines were doing the same thing; checking the passports. A security woman escorted us to the back of the other line, and we asked her why we had to go to the back of the other line, but she didn’t know. The back of the other line was even longer, and soon after we got closer to the booth, we saw people switching over to the line we were in. So then we tried doing that too, and finally we were approved, by a different person who was probably on the next shift. We had to wait so long that some guy took our checked bags and suitcases and took them of to the lost and found. Luckily, the lost and found was not too far, and we got our luggage back. We then looked on an app for a cab to drive us to the cottage where we would be staying. The cottage was very nice. There was a pool, and the cottage was huge, with three bedrooms, and three bathrooms too. There was also a living area, a kitchen, and two dining tables. There are also two dogs, and two cats. I played with the dogs a bit, and it’s fun. One is very loud, but the other one is quiet and shy. I only saw one of the cats though. Mommy said that if we type up a blog post and showered, we might be able to watch tv. So after this, I’m going to shower, and hopefully watch tv. Then we will eat dinner (instant ramen) and go to bed.

  1. Thank you for that detailed account of your frustrating travel experience. That is very sneaky of Acadian to sit next to you to watch your iPad. How long will you be staying in the cottage?
