Yet Another Japan Trip!

Before we got to Japan, Mommy gave us a list of ramen places that were supposed to be good and asked us to choose one that looked good from there. I chose one called “Ginza Tsukiya” because it looked like it had good Tonkatsu ramen, which I love. We went there and all got a nice bowl of Tonkatsu ramen and followed the instructions on how to eat the ramen; there was a specific order in which to eat the ramen. There was a light but extremely flavorful broth and thin noodles that you could slurp down with ease. It was so good we ended up buying some ramen kits from them so we could eat it at home.

The next day, we went to the Studio Ghibli Museum which Mommy and Daddy had been waiting 16 years to go to (ever since their honeymoon). The museum was intricately designed and the building looked like it was brought to life from a Ghibli movie. There were tons of interactive activities that I enjoyed, and a lot of pictures that everyone else seemed to enjoy. We ended the tour after 2 hours with a bit of pumping water into a smiley-faced sewer cover. When we got back, we met up with the Percivals and had dinner with them.

After a good night's sleep, we had fancy sushi with Brian at the fish market and had the same sushi chef for the third time in a row (thankfully he remembered us😅). Unfortunately, my expander made it almost impossible to chew and swallow the sushi without getting fish stuck in my expander. After that, we got on a Shinkansen and a bus to Nozawa Onsen, where we settled into our lodge. Then, we hopped onto another bus and went to go see snow monkeys that screeched at each other to proclaim that they are the alpha.

Once we went to sleep in Nozawa, we skied for a few days, but the second to last day was the best despite the crowds. The lines were huge, but the powder was worth it. During our stay in Nozawa when we weren't skiing, I obtained two new hats. One was a Shiba Inu (a type of dog) hat, and the other one was a faux fur lined cap, which Bryce and Daddy also got. We went to a different Onsen every day, but the last one was so hot that my skin was as red a a lobster when I got out.
